Green Lake Association Mission Statement

 

  • The Green Lake Association, serving the area surrounding Green Lake in Maine, was formed for charitable, educational and scientific purposes and was officially incorporated as a non-profit organization in 2007. Its objective is to advance and protect Green Lake as a valuable and natural resource. The Association undertakes educational and informational activities that promote the best practices for lake property owners and recreational users of the lake. 

Ongoing Projects 

  • *Audubon Loon Count--tracking annual loon population for health and productivity
  • ​*Invasive Aquatic Plant Patrol and Courtesy Boat Inspections--preventing the introduction of invasive plant species
  • *Water Quality Monitoring--assessing the health of our lake
  • *Precipitation Report Team--monitoring the levels of precipitation coming into the lake
  • *Summer Gatherings  
     

The Way Life Should Be!!!

Maine’s state slogan, recently changed 

from “Vacationland” to

 "The Way Life Should Be".

That saying is so true here at Green Lake. 

Our job is to join together to keep it

 that way.
